Amazingly, the rent he was paying was higher than his new mortgage would’ve been.  But so-called lending regulations stopped him cold!  One lender even suggested he lie on his application!  Sam’s integrity wouldn’t allow it.  So Sam and Renee had to keep renting for ten more years! 

 

“Had I only known what I know now, about how the system works, I wouldn’t have wasted ten years paying rent… I could’ve been in my own home all along!”

After the military, Sam worked his way through college as an actor, but found himself again being asked to compromise himself… to do roles he could not morally agree with.  He landed a job as a a highly-paid corporate executive with Toshiba America Information Systems in Irvine California. In the meantime, Renee had started selling real estate, and she convinced him to join her.  Disenchanted with the constant compromises expected in his other jobs, he agreed.  Sam found that in real estate, his honesty and willingness to do the right thing actually led to tremendous success, and he quickly became one of the area’s most successful real estate representatives.  Today, Sam and Renee’s “DiBello Group” is a national leader in real estate sales.  When it became possible to be “buyers’ agents,” the DiBellos immediately began serving homebuyers in their quest for a good, fair deal.

 

Sam and Renee decided to start a cable TV show, dispensing valuable advice about buying and selling homes.
